Op <strong>woensdag 17 september<\/strong> organiseert de <strong>KB \u2013 Koninklijke Bibliotheek in Den Haag<\/strong> een inspirerende bijeenkomst met <strong>Marleen Stikker<\/strong>, internetpionier en oprichter van Waag Futurelab, en <strong>Brewster Kahle<\/strong>, oprichter van het Internet Archive en Internet Archive Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Tijdens deze bijeenkomst staat de noodzaak van robuuste webarchivering in Nederland centraal. Ondanks de inspanningen van instellingen zoals de KB, het Nederlands Instituut voor Beeld en Geluid en het Nationaal Archief, belemmert strenge wetgeving een volledige digitale archivering. Hierdoor dreigen grote delen van het Nederlandse digitale geheugen verloren te gaan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Een gesprek over collectief geheugen en democratische infrastructuur<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De bijeenkomst laat zien hoe digitale preservatie bijdraagt aan historisch besef, het collectieve geheugen en een goed functionerende democratie. Marleen Stikker zal uitleggen waarom digitale soevereiniteit essentieel is in het huidige politieke en culturele landschap. Brewster Kahle laat zien hoe het Internet Archive sinds 1996 wereldwijd het web archiveert \u2013 inclusief nieuwe manieren om gearchiveerde websites te ontdekken en collecties tot leven te brengen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">Hun inzichten zijn bijzonder relevant voor <strong>beleidsmakers, erfgoedprofessionals en belangbehartigers van digitale duurzaamheid<\/strong>.
